The prosecution completed its arguments in the 2017 Haryana judge’s paper leak case before special judge, cum principal district and sessions judge, Anju Bajaj Chandna. The proceedings were expedited on a day-to-day basis on the directions of the Delhi High Court. The prosecution advanced arguments on different dates and finally on Tuesday, the prosecution completed its arguments.
Special Public Prosecutor Charanjit Singh Bakshi, assisted by advocate Amit Sahni, presented arguments on behalf of the prosecution. Bakshi, SPP, submitted that it is an open and shut case, wherein the material submitted by the prosecution clearly establishes that the HCS (Judicial) paper-2017 was leaked by the then Registrar (Recruitment) Balwinder Kumar Sharma.
It was also argued that the chain of events against the accused persons is conclusive, leaving no doubt as to why the accused can claim any relief. The oral, electronic, documentary and scientific evidence establishes that the then Registrar had handed over the question paper of this prestigious examination to her close friend Sunita who later shared it with many prospective candidates for illegal gratification.
